I am almost disappointed to write something negative here about an organization that I liked and is well liked by everyone but I feel the need to express this. We approached Fowler House in October and after two weeks or so got a response and could manage a showing two weeks after that. We took all the delays in responses as something that can naturally happen when your venue is booked throughout the year. A day after the showing, we texted our interest in going ahead with the booking (we were told text is the best medium to contact) and we followed it up in next few days with another text. There was no response to either of the texts. In the week following that we followed up with phone calls and there was no response. Ultimately after our 3rd week we sent an email, but there has been no reponse yet. 5th week we decided that we have been ghosted by a wedding venue we were deeply interested in. Thanks to the absence of a civil explanation of why we might not be able to use the venue for our wedding (our dates were flexible), we speculated a lot of negative things that could be wrong with us adding to the stress that couples already feel while planning a wedding. Thankfully we are out of that place now, but I hope this comment helps the organization understand that while they retain full rights to allow which events are held in their property, transparency in communication is better for all the parties involved and goes a long way.
Nice facility used for our company gathering. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds and indoors well kept.
Was there for a woman's Christmas dinner. It was set up nicely for the holidays. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The catered food by Huddleston Catering was delicious. The only downside was the parking which was all over the place and a that a glass of wine was $6 (not a huge surprise though). We look forward to coming back next year.
Fabulous mansion, great for weddings, staff very efficient, can only imagine in the day residing in that home, vey well built, needs some updating, thoughly enjoyed my visit, thank you Fowler house
Fantastic Gothic home for small groups and variety of intimate events - needful parts are getting much needed renovations. The kitchen was tiny, bathrooms 18th century, and wooden floors combined with solid wall materials made for noisy spaces. My cousin's wedding reception a few years ago made it thru all the above issues to much frustration from the cooks but we were blessed with a sunny day. The weather allowed us to spread around on the steps and porches. Definitely the best spot in the area for blue sky weddings and weather allowing use of all the grounds. I would recommend for a high class event needing a unique and rare interior atmosphere, or a well timed outdoor event that spreads out the guests so they can enjoy both in and outdoors.
