Absolutely the most disgusting, dehumanizing and inhabitable jail EVER! The jailers voiced their dislike for female inmates bc they were too,"needy". Captain Saxton, who runs the jail, approves around 20 male inmates to act as trustees while only allowing one female to act as one. Mind you the male trustees get far more privilege and freedom than the females. No female trustee is allowed to work outside of a female dorm while the male trustees roam the jail flashing female inmates their privates for a kite. Jailers refused to provide toiletries and feminine hygiene products to the females for DAYS and not giving showers to inmates when their supposed to. Jailers left inmates in a cell with feces and urine all over the floor for two hours from the toilet overflowing and to top it off they sat their food trays in the room for them to eat while sitting in a pool of contamination. Jailers refused to take action when a male trustee threatened to spit in female inmates food and laughed when it was reported. The ppl running this jail need to be fired! I highly recommend making a complaint with the ACLU if you've ever experienced the horrors of this jail.

This jail and town is totally for profit. They have no regard for the human lives that will return to society. The judges, ESPECIALLY JUDGE SEAN PERSIN, give out the max sentences to human beings with no criminal history. They do not provide sanitary napkins and toilet paper to the inmates in holding. They classify people that should not be together in holding so those who owe moneys are incarcerated with people coming off of heroin. This place has no rehabilitation options and that's why you have a revolving door of offenders. But, ol Barry and Saxton don't care, more money for the jail and more money in the pockets of the judge. Maybe take a lead from Marion Co. Most people are incarcerated due to drug abuse or mental illness, NOT violent crime. Stop treating these people less than human because they make mistakes. And I hope Judge Persin rots in hell.
