I have shopped this shopping center for over 20 years. It has had many different stores and has maintained a safe convenient area with stores coming and going that have kept up with trends in shopping. Even road work on Sagamore Pkwy. has made it at times a chore to visit, the effort is worth while. JoAnns has been a very longterm anchor store. The addition a few years ago of Home Depot has made the visits more often and fruitful.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. I saw the cashier helping a woman with instructions on a cross stitching pattern (possibly) today. She was very patient and helpful to the customer.
I really hate to mention this about the JoAnn's fabric store in this shopping area (unfortunately this issue is chain wide). But this has been a long standing irritation that apparently the corporate entity regulates.
Granted I am one that gets hot easily but I can just sit at the pattern table and start sweating. I've been told that corporate won't let them keep it any cooler than 75° if I remember correctly. That is too warm for a store. Don't get me wrong I love this store and won't stop going there but be warned it will be hot, I wouldn't be able to work there.
Decent selection of stores and sometimes the best prices of gasoline in the area but awful traffic jams with messy construction and narrowing State St at the Sagamore intersection make for a tricky shopping spot.
The temperature in the store is unbearably warm. Even in the winter they have the doors open to cool the store off, and the employees have to put fans behind the counters to stay cool.
