I have rarely met a church that is kind, compassionate, open, and patient once you get to know them. I wish people would be welcoming toward guests. Not that it's unwelcoming by any means, however it's easy to get lost and just look like a regular. The child care is pretty spectacular. Clear River's secret sauce are their small groups. My two very best friends attend CR and the proof is in the pudding. All of that said, Clear River is not my church and I don't think it's right for me. But they're great people with hearts in the right place and I know I can always return to open arms and compassionate hearts.
This church is ALIVE, worshipping God in song and deed. Warm inclusive environment. Attend this church and build relationships with a diverse group of believers.
I've attended church at Clear River for about 4 years now. The bible is preached during every meeting (Sunday mornings, small group meeting, service team meetings, etc), and it is taught in a way that is tangible and challenges you to grow in your relationship with the Lord and the people in your life. I've also really enjoyed serving in the Kid's Church! The kids have fun while being introduced to important biblical concepts and shown how they can apply those concepts in every day life.
I've had equal religious experiences in cemeteries. There was nothing wrong with the loud bass or the modern worship, or the smell of delicious coffee in the foyer. There was nothing wrong with the "green" bulletin or the efficient sermon or the polite sports joke warm-up. There was nothing wrong with the "call to prayer" or the "announcements" or the "passing of the plate". There was nothing wrong with the adequate child care or the cool hipster industrial vibe or even the crossing guard they had employed. Nothing was wrong whatsoever. But no one said hello to me. No one looked me in the eye. No one spoke to me. No one shook my hand. No one seemed to be inviting. No one laughed. No one cried. No one was kind to me. No one was alive. There was nothing Wrong with my visit to Clear River. But clearly it was not right for me.
Every things great except, they dont wellcome new people in the right format.
