Bad experience with them, over charged. Not recommended!
Zero accountability - they love to replace parts that don't need replacing. They were the original installers of the HVAC system in our newly built home in 2009 - we have had trouble every year since then. So far we have about $1500 in repairs alone. At least 5 unnecessary fixes before finding a huge refrigerant leak. I paid to have them install the dye to help diagnose the leak, but still ended up with about a thousand dollars of refrigerant leaked. Half the time they didn't clean up after themselves, the other half they destroyed my property with their torch and tool box. The technicians were nice enough, it just seemed like they didn't care about the quality and accuracy of their work. As I write this I have yet another problem with the second level damper and a frozen A-coil (low refrigerant, again). This will be the 6th time they have visited our residence to repair these same issues. Bowsher should be out of business. Find someone else - please.
I have been using Bowsher Heating & Cooling for about 3 years now. In addition to routine servicing of my furnace and central air, they diagnosed and fixed a problem - one of my heat ducts had collapsed, leading to my furnace overheating and turning off without the house being properly heated. Their prices were reasonable, and they are always responsive. My heat shut off on Christmas day one year and they came out.
If I could give them negative stars I would. The equipment was fine, the installation was the problem. Poor knowledge and a total lack of concern for the customer.
I wholeheartedly agree with the comments about this company having no accountability. It appears that there are significant communication issues between the office staff and the technicians which then somehow become the fault of the customer. Be cautious if you choose to use them as they might not show for scheduled appointments and then make excuses for their mismanagement.
