Place is garbage!! Went there by chance n convenience, had a brand new set put on & 2 of my nails broke off completely at the tip within the first week! The place I normally go to can make a set last a month at least. This ratchet ass woman that did my nails fought with an employee in front of me while servicing me making me uncomfortable! I am a licensed cosmetologist who works hard to please n comfort my clients the entire experience was ridiculous! She charged me 45 for a full set which I have never paid in my 10+ years wearing acrylics. Save your time n money n NEVER GO HERE!
The salon itself seemed about average. The woman who I assumed to be the owner did my gels. My set kept being interrupted by whoever she was texting (this caused my time spent at the salon to be about doubled). Then filed my nails so aggressively that both of my pinkies are now safely wrapped in bandaids and antibacterial gel. I’ve gone to the nail salon at Walmart in Danville, IL religiously (they always do fantastic. Nice, clean, gentle, and pleasing(I definitely recommend if you can make the drive)) but we had to make do for today. My nails turned out more square and long rather than how I asked (short and round). I wasn’t too thrilled since it had decent reviews on here. Long story short, I don’t think I’ll return.
I went for a gel mani and pedi. My pedi was awesome! I had an elder gentleman who made my feet feel amazing! Then I was handed off to an elder woman who, in my opinion, was rude and mean. When I told her she left bubbles in the gel polish she got pissed off that she has to fix it. She yelled at me then yanked my hand like I was bothering her. Also there were 4 nails that had bubbles and she would only fix one. She refused to fix the others. I do not recommend this nail salon.
They did a great job on my nails loved them. But the lady seemed in a hurry with my daughters nails. They were not so great. She had them off within two hrs. The older man did mine. He did an awesome job. I would go back again.
I honestly thought my nails looked amazing at first. But as I went through my day (I barley did anything after getting my nails done) one of my nails broke just only having them on for 5 hours. Plus some of them are crocked I even asked the nail technician to fix them and she didn't. After this experience I'm not going back to Top Nails ever again.
