We visited Don Pablos on a night when their air conditioning was broken, making for a more authentic taste of Mexico. The staff was still working very hard in spite of the heat. We shared a Conquistador and a dip sampler (we had a coupon for a free sampler) and everything was very good with just the right amount of food for the two of us.
Used to love coming here, but it has steadily gone downhill over the last 2-3 years. Today we were here about 4:30, hoping to beat the football traffic. There was a sign on the door saying that the bar area would not be open seating due to the expected high number of customers. The place was about half full, but we were told there was a 15-20 minute wait!
Unfortunately, we are done giving them chances and won’t be back.
We were seated on time, and our server was busy. Food took longer than it should have for the customer load, and tasted like it had been warmed in a microwave. On top of it, our order was messed up (eventually corrected except for our to-go order of enchiladas).
Very disappointed! first off waitress only had our table till our food came out then another table was sat. We ordered the yellow quaso and it was lumpy and must have sat under the heating lights to long. My husband and I ordered the chicken fajitas with guacamole (to share). The chicken was tasteless and burnt. There were 3 pieces of onion and 2 green peppers. We were not checked on till after I decided not to eat anymore (due to disappointment in the entire meal), my husband told the waitress that she did not bring out guacamole and we did not want charged. She said she could go get some, this was after we told her we were done with the poor meal. When she brought the bill, asked how our meal was and told her how disappointed we were. Will not be going back. Horrible service and tasteless burnt food! there are plenty of TexMex restaurants choose another one!!!
Left slightly before 6:00 with well under half the tables filled and customers waiting to be seated. I have never seen a restaurant this disorganized on a Saturday night!
The service is very awesome! The food is beyond great! It is like eating authentic Mexican. Well worth the money! I would recommend this restaurant to any one! This is the best Mexican food I have eaten since moving back to Indiana!
Came in around 1 pm. Place wasnt crowded at all. The all you can eat enchiladas were good. My biggest complaint was the waitress was slow and only brought 1 refill. I will return
