This is the first time I've been to an Applebees I actually thought the food tasted great. The service was really good however it took 15 minutes and watching six servers Mill around before someone finally came to seat us which was really annoying
We ordered and received our drinks quickly but the server never came back to take our order. After 20 minutes I simply called the Applebees phone and requested someone come to our table to take our order. They slammed down the phone and hung up on me. We got up and left. We have eaten at this location several other times and had great service. Probably will not go back after this.
Always fast service. Good cheap food also.
I've had many problems with this applebees. The waiter, Mac, was great. He was very friendly. However, our food was freezing cold. The manager said they would make us a "new" one, but we received it within a few minutes. They had clearly microwaved the old one. Most restaurants comp the meal, they decided not to. They didn't offer a complimentary dessert either. The way the manager handled the situation didn't seem appropriate.
They were not busy when we arrived. We stood waiting to be seated for several minutes. They host finally came from the back to seat us. I requested a table on the opposite side of the restaurant out of the sun. That caused an attitude from the host.
Tried this spot with the family, mom had the Oriental chicken salad, dad the Butcher's Meat & potatoes, and I the Bone in Pork Chop with Honey Apple Chutney. Our waitress Ivy took great care of us for about half way thru the meal than disappeared til the end when a higher up came asking if we were ready for the ticket. A bit odd. Besides that, mom and dad found their stuff tasty and flavor filled however dad's beef wasn't the most tender or easy to chew for his limited teeth. I enjoyed the Honey Apple chutney and savored the two sides and meat but needed about twice the amount of chutney for the dish. The dish itself needed to double in size for $15.00! Pork is cheap and compared to the cedar salmon nextdoor on the menu I felt cheated - should've gotten the salmon at the $15 price point. Overall definitely not an all star cast and lacking in attention to detail and service. The Applesbees mobile app need to sync gift cards like Starbucks and Steak n Shake do. Also I am seeing way to much added sodium in restaurant foods. That needs to stop.
