I went in to look around before I got what I needed. Then I remembered that I had somewhere to be and needed help and was able to get it quickly. He was fantastic in directing me to the products I wanted.
Uh, I think the manager may want to look into this.
Well, I went back out to grab the bags of chips and fertilizer I needed and could NOT get down ANY ONE AISLE IN THE GARDEN SECTION. Every single aisle had inventory carts in it. I am NOT JOKING! No one was doing any stock work whatsoever! Incredible! The aisles were too narrow - probably the narrowest I have ever seen in a Lowes! So why were all of these stock carts in the way?
If it wasn't for a worker named Stretch, this was a study in frustration. We were trying to obtain a column for our porch to match the others. The Lowes in Kankakee shut us down (long story) and we found our discontinued column in Lafayette and drove 1 1/2 hours to get it. We purchased it online, and was guaranteed pickup. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing... We were sent from station to station, when finally Stretch stepped in and followed it down. He saw they had loaded the beat up column instead of the good one, and switched them. We had discussed this before we came, but we were still given the wrong one. Better communication needed. Frustrating for the customer. Thank you Stretch!
I went here to get some cedar chips and fertilizer (and paint) that were in the back of the garden section. I couldn't find a cart anywhere outside, so I went inside. I had to walk to the plumbing section to find one. No problem, right?
Great service! Bent over backwards to help me even though I came in right before close. The management and appliance teams are especially great.
So I left my cart and went to the checkout line in the garden section with a can of paint that I had made before this. I told the cashier that I had chips and could not get to the register because they were all blocked. Two other workers were next to her. They looked at me like I was from another planet. I stated the problem THREE times before they acknowledged the situation and pretty much shrugged. I told them that they lost another $150 in sales due to this and that I guess they didn't mind that the lack of sales really just trickles down to their paychecks (or lack thereof when they are cut from their jobs). I also noted to them that now they had something to go do - restock the heavy bags!
Yay!! Dad bought mom a soft water unit here!! Excited and cant wait 2 use it!!
