My car's transmission was known to fail as it gets to around 100k miles. And well it happened... I brought the car over and had them check it out, and they told me I needed a rebuild with a reasonable quote. They got the job done over a few days, and the transmission continues to run well since end of 2015.
I don't live in Lafayette and I don't plan on breaking down there again, but if I did I would take my car to Guaranteed Automotive and Transmission!

I've had my car serviced twice at GAT, and I've been EXTREMELY satisfied both times. I have an older Mercedes SL , and had a new transmission put in, and some serious work done to the rear axles. Nick kept me well informed of the progress on both projects, and Alex went above and beyond to secure hard to find parts. Cost was very reasonable. Their service technicians are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to fix things right vs just getting the job done. They even checked my new transmission 30 days after installation (no charge), to make sure it was properly adjusted. I would highly recommend GAT for not only transmission work, but for all of your vehicle's service needs. They are very professional, focus on customer service, and care about their reputation and quality of their work. If you want the job done right, for a fair price, GAT is the place to go.

I am glad to have a shop like this to go to when one of my trucks needs transmission work. I had not to long ago had my transmission rebuilt by another shop. After only 20,000 miles, I lost 4th gear and overdrive. After all the troubles I had with the previous shop not standing by their work, I was hesitant when I came into to Guaranteed transmission. All i can say is, what a great experience. It's nice to see customer service in this day and age. It's a rare thing anymore.

They went through my transmission and transfer case and found the valve body clogged up with a glue that is used to attach a part to the valve body. They could have easily told me the transmission was toast. But, they didn't. They cleaned the valve body, put it back together, and had me on my way. It eases my mind to know there's a shop close to home you can count on! Dan
