We purchased a couch 4 yrs ago. Still have it and it still have form in the cushions which is amazing. The showroom layout is clean and very large. Professional staff. Delivery was 2 wks large as our couch was made to order and the delivery guys came in and out the couch together all while wearing shoe covers as to not track in onto our carpet.

Asked if they had anything that was real wood not laminate. The saleslady asked what laminate was. Then proceeded to tell me that their product was not laminate, but wasa veneer over 'hardwood' pine boards. Pine is not a hardwood for one and for two upon inspection of the backside of the furniture and drawers etc, the only pine the veneer was covering was pine sawdust and glue...ie particle board. So to answer my own question, no, they do not sell real wood furniture. They either need to train their staff or try to come up with a better like. However, if you are looking for Sauder grade furniture, loke at Walmart only already put together...then this might be what you are looking for.
Went there ready to buy. We told 4 different sales people we had cash and were ready to make a purchase. None of them were knowledgeable or seemed to care. We had to keep tracking them down. They would attempt to answer our questions then they just kept walking away and blowing us off. They didn't have the sofa we wanted that was advertised on their website. They said they could order it but it would take four weeks. We found another sofa that they did have in stock. Of course it was much more expensive than the one on the website that we originally wanted. We told them that we brought our truck and were ready to buy it. They told us we would have to come back in an hour to pick it up. We left, went to Big Lots, bought a beautiful Simmons sofa for way less than what we were willing to pay Star Furniture. The Big Lots staff was top notch, we paid, they immediately loaded the sofa onto our truck, and we left happy as could be. Star Furiture apparently didn't need our money. I will never step foot in that store again.
Not sure what others have a complaint about, but this is by far the best furniture buying experience my wife and I have experienced. Best place in town, period. We originally went in needing just a dining table, but left with a table, 4 chairs/bench, couch, loveseat. Staff was very helpful and not pushy at all. Delivery was only a couple days after purchase. Fantastic prices.
