I went here for mental health in group therapy. After 4 days, I found out I had a conflict of interest with the therapist, but they were able to switch me to the other mental wellness group. Lindsey is a good therapist. She helps make you realize things you are thankful for and taught me to "write it out" which has helped me a lot! Tawny is awesome! Tawny has been working with stuff like this for two decades and she is good at reading people and helping moderate the group. She also incorporates games some days, so that is a nice break, but still bonding for the group. Unfortunately, my insurance didn't seem to cover much of the cost, so I paid over $3000 to go here, but I do agree it has been worth it! It sounds like it may have been cheaper to pay out of pocket! Group therapy has been the trick for me, and I am getting ready to go back to "normal" life. They give you resources so you can get a doctor and therapist.

We had high hopes and expectations for this place but all we have gotten here is disappointment, and now all we want is to get our patient out of that place and it just seems that no one cares. Not only has his condition gotten worse, but these people don't care if your loved one bathes or changes clothes, or even if they eat well or not or if they see them weak. None of that matters, that is the perception we get. When we went for visitation yesterday he seemed very weak and not ok, hi was unable to move his right arm or do specific things.

My experience has been amazing. Life changing! So many caring staff members and resources to help any challenge you are facing.

After enough attention was brought upon we finally were given the opportunity to speak with the Psychiatrist whom explained the conditions and gave us instructions on how to proceed with the patient’s care. Dr Patterson was very polite and professional with us. Until he spoke to us he had been unaware that we were wanting to speak to him for some time. I believe the treatment is helpful, but there is much opportunity for communication improvement in this place, customer satisfaction should be one of your top priorities, that includes all external stakeholders such as family members that care for their loved ones.

Although the staff is friendly here and they treat you with respect, the lack of communication and follow up in this place is a complete joke. Our relative has been here for almost 3 weeks and we literally have to beg for information and updates on his condition, and not once have we been granted a request to speak to any of the doctors that are seeing him, not even a nurse, the little bit of info we have gotten was through a social worker that by the way never ever returns calls despite the promises to do so. Every time I walk in that place I wait for over an hour to be able to speak with someone and at the end they end up taking my number because everyone is busy. Not once have they returned our calls.

Would definitely not recommend. I took my son there yesterday because he wanted and needed immediate help. We were there for 3 hours and were referred for outpatient services only...available in 4 days. We were in a crisis situation and were basically offered no help. Don’t bother with the boiler plate response. That’s not helpful either.

My experience with Sycamore Springs was very positive and I firmly believe my treatment there has and will help me deal with my depression and anxiety issues. Ray, my therapist, was very professional, helpful, and knew what he was doing. More important to me, though, was that he showed that he truly cared or had a concern for me and helping me deal with my issues. In fact, the whole staff was very helpful and seemed to be concerned about me as a person. I would recommend to anyone they visit Sycamore springs to get help with issues they may be dealing with.
